The Rent Board map allows you to find rental apartments, houses and other rental properties that are within the search area that you define and match any filters you set.
Click on the Search Area button. The map will display a green search area rectangle.
Drag the search area rectangle anywhere on the map to change its position.
You may change the search area size by dragging the control points shown at the corners and on each edge of the search area, or by using the search area size buttons:
Make the search area smaller
Make the search area bigger
Make the search area fit in the map
You may also enter a place name to have the map go to that place. A place name may be a city and province, name of a school or any other recognized place name in Canada. Simply enter the first few letters of the place name and select the appropriate name from the menu of choices displayed.
Click on the Load Listings... button.
The system will find rental listings within your search area.
Click on any of the map markers to obtain more details about a rental listing or use the Match List button.
The following marker colors represent different rental types or points of interest:
All other property types
Multiple listings at location
When rental listings have been found within your search area, you may further refine your search by using filters.
Click on the Filters button to display the filters.
Change any of the filter values to update the rental listings displayed on the map.
Click on the Rental Types button to display and set the rental types you are interested in.
Use the Reset Filters button to reset (clear) all filters.
Click the Match List button to display a list of rental properties that match your search criteria.
The list may be scrolled horizontally (left and right)
Click on any listing in the list to show its position within the map
