Moving to Sherwood Park?
A quiet, family-friendly community that forms the eastern border of Edmonton, Sherwood Park is slightly removed from the traffic and congestion of the city, with great schools and a population that tends to be quite well off. It’s a community fuelled by oil, that booms when the oil and gas industry is strong, but feels a little sleepy when the industry dives. It’s a great place to live if you work in or near Edmonton, but want some distance from the city, but still want to enjoy all of the services and shops that any good city offers.
Who lives in Sherwood Park?
Families with kids of all ages, and some seniors. The population here isn’t as diverse as what you’d find in Edmonton, but it’s a relatively friendly city with a strong sense of community and a good government.
What’s Sherwood Park’s culture?

Living in Northern Alberta can have its challenges: icy roads, bone-chilling blizzards and long drives no matter where you want to go. So, residents make the most of the summers by enjoying camping, fishing, quading and playing baseball. Explore Elk National Park, Cooking Lake-Blackfoot Provincial Recreation Area which is criss-crossed with hiking trails, and Broadmoor Lake Park.
